In the first quarter of 2025, the air travel app market in South America saw varied performance among the top iOS applications. Here’s a closer look at the trends for the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
LATAM: Flights, Hotels, Cars consistently maintained a high number of weekly downloads, starting at around 39.6K in early January and fluctuating slightly to end at approximately 34.8K by the end of March. Its weekly active users saw an initial increase, peaking at about 762.8K in late January, before seeing a decline to 622.9K by the quarter's end.
The LATAM Pass app experienced a notable growth in downloads, with numbers rising from 19.3K at the start of January to reach a peak of 31.9K by mid-March. Active users for this app increased from 184.9K to a peak of 225.5K in mid-March, before settling at 199.9K by the end of the quarter.
Azul had a steady download trend, beginning at 20.8K and ending slightly higher at 20.1K. Its active user base showed a positive trend, growing from 1.2M at the start of the quarter to reach over 1.3M by March.
The GOL | Passagens Aéreas app's downloads started at 18.8K and saw an increase to 22.5K in early January, before stabilizing around 18.4K by the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, rising from 257.5K to a peak of 355.1K in early March, before closing the quarter at 318.6K.
Lastly, Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker saw a decline in downloads from 17.5K in late December to just under 5.9K by the end of March. Its active users experienced a decline as well, starting at 281.9K and decreasing to 222.8K by the end of the quarter, despite a brief increase in mid-January.
